💜🙏 Thank you, Aga Khan University Hospital — for supporting our epilepsy awareness initiative and helping us bring these children's books to your clinics, to support education, understanding and inclusion.

We are delighted to share that the NeuroReach Friends Series is now available in select Aga Khan University Hospital clinics. Families visiting the clinics will find The Day the Purple Kite Flew and My Friend Amani in both English and Kiswahili — warm, African-centred stories that explain epilepsy in a simple, child-friendly way.

Hospitals and clinics are where families first hear the word "epilepsy" — and too often, they hear it with fear and a long list of unanswered questions. Placing these books in clinics turns that moment into an opportunity: for reassurance, for understanding, and for conversations that reduce stigma right from the very beginning.

Our books teach children and families about understanding epilepsy in a simple, child-friendly way; reducing stigma by promoting kindness and inclusion; seizure first aid and safety — what to do during a seizure; and hope and confidence — showing that children with epilepsy can learn, play and shine.

When children understand, communities become kinder. When families understand, children with epilepsy are supported earlier, included fully and never left to face the condition alone.
