54,099 Children Reached: KCB Foundation Supports NeuroReach Africa’s School Outreach

NeuroReach Africa is celebrating a major milestone in our mission to replace fear and stigma with knowledge, compassion, and acceptance. Through the generous support of KCB Foundation, 500 books from our NeuroReach Friends Series have been donated and distributed across schools in Kikuyu Sub-County.

This donation has helped us reach 54,099 children with stories that promote understanding, empathy, inclusion, and awareness around epilepsy. Each book is a step toward a generation that understands epilepsy and embraces everyone.

The NeuroReach Friends Series uses relatable characters and warm, African-centred storytelling to help young people learn about epilepsy in ways that are age-appropriate, hopeful, and human. By meeting children where they are, in schools and communities, we are creating safe spaces for conversation and challenging the stigma that too often surrounds the condition.

Our work in schools is part of a broader community-driven approach. We believe that lasting change begins with informed children, inclusive communities, and stronger tomorrows. Books are one of the simplest and most powerful tools we have to start that change.

But our journey does not end here. Our goal is to reach all 300 sub-counties across Kenya and beyond, ensuring that more children have access to stories that educate, inspire, and include.
